Pastoral Counseling

God’s Promises

Pastoral counseling at Hope by the Sea is first and foremost based on what God promises in 2 Corinthians 5:17. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! NLT In pastoral counseling we facilitate our clients leaving their old life behind. We show them in scripture how through Christ they can become a new person, inspired by the Holy Spirit to live a brand new life! In our pastoral counseling we are excited to encourage and direct our clients on their journey of transformation as illustrated in Romans 12:2. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. NLT God accomplishes His transformation in the lives of our clients by the power of the Holy Spirit. Pastoral counseling empowers our clients to reach down deep into their personal experiences and apply God’s love and healing power to their emotional and spiritual wounds. By guiding (counseling) our clients in God’s word, we are privileged to see amazing and miraculous life change!

Help and healing are possible through our Christian rehab programs. If you are ready to take the next step and learn more about how a Christian rehab center can aid in your recovery, feel free to reach out to us at any time.

The Christian Rehab Difference

Individual and Group Counseling with our Pastor

Residents at our Christian rehab meet with our Pastoral Counselor for individual sessions, at minimum, once per week. All residents meet with the Pastoral counselor daily for morning prayer and devotion. In addition, residents participate in a daily Christian workshop session. These workshops include life recovery Bible study, boundaries workshops, and the life’s healing choices workshop. Our Pastoral Counselor is also available for family counseling sessions upon request. In addition to a Pastoral Counselor, residents will also participate in sessions with a Christian Counselor, Primary Therapist, Psychiatrist, and Medical Doctor. This personalized care enables our Christian rehab program to provide the level of individualized therapy necessary to treat each resident’s unique addiction symptoms.

For Christians on the road from addiction to recovery, it’s also important to find a rehabilitation center that offers faith-based services that can uniquely support your sobriety and journey of spiritual growth.

The Christian Rehab Difference

We use the power of prayer, therapeutic workshops, Christian fellowship, church services, evidence-based treatment practices, our treatment centers, and professionals to help you reconcile and restore broken relationships. Additionally, addiction treatment will consist of helping you reclaim your inner strength and dignity through a renewed faith in Jesus. Our substance abuse treatment is based on pillars of faith in a higher power, forgiveness, which has been proven to help individuals more effectively abstain from substance abuse.
