Alcohol Treatment

Alcohol Treatment

What Makes Christian Alcohol Rehabs Stand Out?

Struggling with an alcohol addiction has likely taken you away from the things that mean the most to you. This can include your family, friends, and your faith. When we are in active addiction, our priorities shift. We become focused on alcohol that everything else goes on the back burner.

Christian alcohol rehab centers are designed to help you re-establish your values. Traditional alcohol rehab programs may touch upon spirituality and faith-based practices. However, it will not be a focus of your treatment. You will likely engage in individual therapy, group therapy, educational sessions, and 12-step meetings.

When you choose to attend a Christian rehab alcohol program, you will be exposed to similar approaches as traditional addiction programs as well as faith-based approaches. This may look different for each program, so you will want to be mindful of the services offered. Faith-based approaches can include daily meditations, regular church services, bible study, and a pastor’s guidance.

If you or someone you love has been struggling with alcohol abuse, we invite you to call the Christians Drug Rehab at (866) 434-1330. Our representatives will be able to discuss our various treatment options and give you a better understanding of which services would be appropriate for you.

For Christians on the road from addiction to recovery, it’s also important to find a rehabilitation center that offers faith-based services that can uniquely support your sobriety and journey of spiritual growth.

Short-Term Effects of Alcohol

Alcohol immediately affects the brain, at first causing euphoria such as feelings of confidence, love and connection and then causing mental impairment including delayed reaction, clumsiness and memory loss. When a person continues to drink in excess they can experience extreme confusion, loss of consciousness and memory loss (known as blacking out), slowed respiration and circulation. These effects put a person at risk of having accidents, saying or doing regretful things during a blackout or becoming victims of violent or sexual crimes.

Long-Term Effects of Alcohol

Over time, an alcoholic has to consume more alcohol to achieve the same effects and long term heavy drinking can result in several types of cancer such as cancer of the mouth, liver, breast, bowel and esophagus. Heavy drinking can also lead to dementia, liver disease, emotional instability, malnutrition and vitamin deficiency, heart disease, brain damage and death. At our Christian alcoholism treatment center, clients who are struggling with alcoholism are treated with the care and love of God in a safe, private environment. Our ocean side Christian alcohol rehab provides a sanctuary where clients can focus on their recovery and relationship with themselves, others and God. After detoxification (if indicated) clients have an assessment and are the assigned an individual therapist and transition into our daily schedule. Each day consist of a full schedule of treatment activities including, but not limited, to individual therapy, specialty groups and workshops, 12 step meetings, Celebrate Recovery® Meetings and leisure activities such as yoga and recreational outings. Our Christian alcohol rehab is tailored to individual clients who receive complementary therapies for their specific underlying issues. The core of our program is based on abstinence and using God’s strength and the power of scripture to overcome the compulsion to drink.
Help and healing are possible through our Christian rehab programs. If you are ready to take the next step and learn more about how a Christian rehab center can aid in your recovery, feel free to reach out to us at any time.

FAITH-BASED ALCOHOLISM HELP

Benefits of an Alcohol Rehab Program for Christians

When you choose to attend a Christian alcohol rehab, you will be allowing yourself to receive holistic care. By focusing on your mind, body, and spirit, you will achieve more progress than if you were to neglect one of these areas.

Faith-based programs are designed to allow you to re-establish your faith or help you gain a deeper understanding of the Lord’s teachings. Christian-based treatment programs can help you learn to let God fill the void that you are struggling with, which can, in turn, create feelings of hopefulness for your future.

Christian-based alcohol rehabs will provide you with the same benefits as a traditional treatment program. They will utilize similar treatment approaches and interventions. This will likely include group therapy, individual therapy, and educational groups. These programs will also use interventions and techniques that have been proven to be effective for individuals struggling with alcohol addiction.

To learn about the Christian Drug Rehabs program available in Los Angeles, California, we encourage you to speak with a representative by calling (866) 434-1330. Our representatives can discuss the differences between our detox, inpatient alcohol rehab, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.

What Makes Our Alcohol Rehab Program for Christians Different?

Because of this belief, we are selective in the staff that we hire to work at the Christians Drug Rehab. Our staff members are trained and experienced in effective treatment approaches, as well as in faith-based counseling for addiction treatment.

A unique feature of our alcohol addiction treatment program is that you will be meeting with a Pastor for an individual session each week. Additionally, you will meet with our Pastor each morning for prayer and devotion. Our Pastors also offer various workshops, including Bible study, boundaries workshops, and life’s healing choices workshops. If appropriate, our Pastor is available to meet with your family if you are engaging in family therapy.

When you choose to enroll in our Christian alcohol rehab program, you will have the unique opportunity to be a part of Celebrate Recovery. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered ministry designed for individuals who are in recovery from drugs and alcohol. A fundamental belief in this ministry is that we need to share and recover from our burdens with others. Addiction is an isolating disease, so surrounding ourselves with healthy, like-minded individuals while in recovery can make it harder to fall back into old habits.

While attending Celebrate Recovery groups, you will be exposed to eight principles that can lead to spiritual experiences for you. This will include recognizing and accepting that we are powerless and that our life is unmanageable, God has the power to help us recover, examine our faults with God and someone else, and evaluate all our relationships. The eight principles can lay the foundation for a healthy recovery.

The Christians Drug Rehab program is one of the Christian alcohol rehab programs available to you. We provide faith-based treatment in Orange County and Southern California. We are proud of the care that we provide, and invite you to call (866) 434-1330 to speak with a representative about our program.

Christian Alcoholism Treatment

Faith-Based, Compassionate Alcohol Rehab Program

Christians Drug Rehab provides Christian alcohol and drug treatment in Los Angeles, California. We combine faith-based approaches and evidenced-based approaches to provide you with holistic care.

In all of our treatment programs, you will find a variety of treatment approaches, including group therapy, individual therapy, and educational session. Additionally, your treatment will include bible studies, regular church services, and daily morning devotions. You will also have access to spiritual counseling and guidance.

When you come to our treatment center, our first priority is meeting with you for an evaluation. During this time, we will learn more about your physical health, mental health, and addiction concerns. Having this information allows us to determine which treatment program would be the best fit for you.

Many of our patients begin their treatment in our detoxification program. Detox is a common recommendation because when we abuse drugs and alcohol our brains and bodies change the way they function. Because of this, when we stop using, we can experience a variety of physical health and mental health side effects. The staff in our detox program will work with you to help you stay comfortable during this uncomfortable time. The length of time you are in this program will depend on the substances you are abusing, the severity of your addiction, and the use of any other medications.

Our inpatient drug and alcohol rehab utilizes traditional and faith-based treatment approaches. Similar to our detox program, the length of your time in our inpatient rehab program will be dependent on several factors. If you are struggling with a mental health concern such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, or trauma, you will have mental health treatment provided to you as well.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program(PHP) resembles our inpatient rehab program and will build upon the material you learned there, such as relapse prevention skills. Our PHP program is a good fit for individuals who complete our inpatient rehab and are still in need of support throughout their day. You will be engaging in treatment throughout the day, and returning home for the evening multiple days each week.

Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) will also vary in the amount of treatment required. Our IOP includes both group and individual therapy weekly. Our group sessions are typically three hours each day.

Lastly, we offer Family Therapy Services. This program focuses on your family as a whole and helps you learn how to move forward together. If you have any unhealthy relationship patterns, these will be addressed in therapy. Common goals in family therapy include rebuilding trust, developing a realistic plan for the future, and establishing healthy boundaries.

At the Christians Drug Rehab, we know that the beginning stages of your Christian recovery will have challenges. Our goal is to provide you with a safe place to work through these challenges and give you room to improve your relationship with God. We invite you to call (866) 434-1330 to learn how Christians Drug Rehab can help you today.
