Our Christian drug rehab center in Bakersfield, California provides Christ-centered counseling, in conjunction with medical-based recovery strategies to provide sustainable healing for every one of our patients. We focus on getting to the root of the issue through Christian programs customized to the needs and goals of each of our patients.
With a wide range of treatment facilities available, it can be challenging to choose just one! We believe that Christian drug rehab provides the difference many individuals need for sustainable sobriety.
While there is a wide range of options available for navigating substance abuse, it is important to choose an option that aligns with your values while providing professional medical care. Some things you’ll want to consider when choosing the right rehab include:
If you are experiencing a severe addiction, detoxification (detox) may be necessary to cleanse your body of drugs and/or alcohol before beginning treatment. During this time, it’s extremely important the patient remains under medical supervision as detox can come with severe physical and mental side effects.
At LINKS, we are equipped with medical professionals with experience navigating the effects of detox, all while providing an underlying message of hope and strength in Christ.
Inpatient (residential) treatment is for patients that require a higher level of care. These patients stay at the Christian drug rehab facility in Bakersfield for maximum support. This higher level of care allows our team to monitor our patients to ensure safety and adherence to the program, and provide a safe environment free of temptations and triggers.
In both inpatient and outpatient programs, patients can expect Christian counseling and group sessions where they learn the importance of developing positive coping skills when triggers arise.
If you or your loved one is experiencing a milder addiction or has already completed inpatient treatment, the assessment specialist may suggest outpatient treatment. Outpatient treatment allows patients to stay at home and visit the rehab center a few times a week for a few hours at a time. During this time, a patient will learn the same coping skills as they would with inpatient treatment while being provided increased flexibility and responsibility.
Support groups are a fantastic way for patients to receive additional support both at the treatment facility and outside of the facility. While there are some secular support options, we recommend faith-based/spiritual support groups that encourage you to connect with God throughout the recovery process. 12-step programs, for instance, have a strong focus on connecting with a higher power.
These support groups provide a place for those in recovery to connect with others and build a community that is necessary for long-term sobriety.
